New Year’s Commitment

Here is my new year commitment:

to email one person every day.
This email is simply a hello, keep-in-touch, how are you, thank you for your friendship, I love you and I am grateful to have you in my life kind of email. Short, sweet, and one of the best ways I can stay connected with all my incredible people.
When I think about all the amazing people in my life, I feel so blessed and grateful. I feel like I can do anything with the support I have.
New Year’s resolutions have a lot of baggage. They don’t work for me and my self-dialogue. I have thousands of things I want to accomplish, hundreds of things on my to-do list, and many places where I want to improve and grow in my life (this blog being one that requires major work and dedication of late). But if I make it all work and no play, do or die, so big picture that the big picture becomes desolate – well then I won’t have the joyful, promising, uplifting new year I envision. And I can do all the things I want to accomplish and more with the people whom I love and care for, and who love and care for me.
For me, if I don’t have connection with others, I don’t have anything. People before all else – I live off of the compassion, inspiration, connectedness, belief, and love that comes from all of the blessed people who touch my life. Thank you for being one of those people, and I wish you a joyful 365 days!
